5 days tour from Casablanca

Day 1: Casablanca to Fes visiting Rabat.

We will pick you up at the airport or your hotel/riad to begin our 5 days tour from Casablanca. First and foremost, we will visit the mosque of Hassan II. The latter is the seventh-largest mosque in the world and one of the few non-Muslim religious monuments in Morocco. We will then go to Rabat, one of the four royal capitals of Morocco. From there, the Hassan Tower and Oudayas Kasbah are visible. Additionally, we will be able to tour the Chellah site. Next, we’ll travel to Fes and spend the night in a riad or small hotel.

Day 2: Explore Fes City with a local guide.

The second day of our 5 days tour from Casablanca is dedicated to visiting the city of Fes. We will be led by a local guide who will explain the history of Fes. The first stop will be the Royal Palace, also known as Dar al-Makhzen. The Mellah, the oldest Jewish enclave in Morocco, will be our next destination (1438). It is in the traditional region of Sultan’s Syrian archers in Fes El Jdid.

In addition, we will visit Borj Nord to view the city from above. Later, we will head to Fes El Bali to visit the tanneries and explore the ancient Medina. The universities of Al Quaraouiyine and Al Bouaanania will also be visited. Spend a night in Fes. At final, we drive back to your accommodation and at the end of day 2 of our 5 days journey from Casablanca.

Day 3: Fes to Merzouga desert passing by Ifrane city and Cedar Forest.

On the third day of our 5 days tour from Casablanca, we will reach Merzouga, the summit of our Morocco excursions. Prior to that, we will make several stops en route. First, we will visit Ifrane, the cleanest city in Morocco, and it is the city where the famous university Al Akhawayn is located. The German prisoner who sculpted the Atlas lion statue in exchange for his freedom during World War II was granted his release in payment for his work.

We will next proceed to Azrou to observe Barbary macaques in the Cedar forest. You will have the opportunity to take pictures and feed them.

Then, we will traverse the High Atlas Mountains to reach the Ziz Valley. The Oued Ziz flows across a vast stretch of palm trees. The Sahara desert, Merzouga, will be reached later in the day. There, your camels will be ready to transport you over the Merzouga desert to your tent, where you will dine, listen to Berber music, and spend the night.

Day 4: Merzoug desert to Dades gorge

Our 5 days tour from Casablanca continues. It is highly recommended that you rise early to watch the stunning sunrise. After breakfast, the camels will be returned to the starting site. As you begin your trip, your driver will be present to greet you. We will travel to Rissani City, where you can tour its Souk (market) and appreciate its art. Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays are the busiest days to visit this Souk.

Later, we drive across Tafilalt’s oasis, where an ancient irrigation system is visible. We will then have lunch in Tinjdad. Then, we proceed to the spectacular canyons of the Todgha Gorges. At the foot of the Great Atlas Mountains, they reach a height of 300 meters and a length of 30 kilometers. We will visit the Dades gorges at the end of the day to see the monkey toes rock formation. In Dades, you will spend the night.

Day 5: Dades Gorges to Marrakech 

On the last day of your 5 days tour from Casablanca, we travel through the land of flowers and countless kasbahs. We’ll arrive at Ouarzazate, Morocco’s film capital. Before proceeding to the Atlas studio, we will stop to take pictures of Taourirt Kasbah. Then, we will visit Ait Benhaddou’s Kasbah, one of the most well-known tourist attractions in southern Morocco. It is a walled town comprised of medieval structures perched on a hill in the center of a valley.

In the afternoon, we travel to Marrakesh through the Tichka Passes. If you are interested, we will stop to take some panoramic photographs and visit the Argan Oil Co-op. Finally, we reach Marrakech and transport you to the airport or your hotel. After we drop our 5 days trip from Casablanca ends.
