Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Agadir to Essaouira

We can pick you up from your hotel or the airport and take you on a Morocco tour to Essaouira. The road along the coast provides a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean. Later on, we will pass through an area densely forested with Argan trees, one of Morocco’s unique trees; the Argan has become the region’s and the world’s best cosmetic product. By midday, we will arrive in Essaouira, where you will have enough time to explore its Medina and authentic harbor. Essaouira has emerged as one of the best day trip destinations from Marrakech, providing an incredibly relaxing day by the coast. If you enjoy seafood, this is the place to be.

Day 2: Essaouira to Marrakech

The second day of your 6-day tour from Agadir will take you from Essaouira to the medina of Marrakech. It should be noted that the drive to the famous Marrakech red city takes about 3 hours. We will arrive at your Riad in the Medina around midday. Following, your guided tour will start with a local guide from your accommodation. Eventually, you will begin walking to visit the highlights of this city, including the Bahia Palace, El Badi Palace, and Saadian tombs. By the end of the day, you’ll have discovered the famous Jamaa El Fena square, complete with fantastic markets. Night in a Riad in the Medina of Marrakech.

Day 3: Marrakech to Dades visiting Ait ben haddou.

Today we will depart Marrakech for Dades Valley, crossing the Tizi N Tichka pass of the High Atlas Mountains (2260m) to reach the UNESCO world heritage site of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, the fortified ksar with its beautiful Kasbahs. Gladiator, Indiana Jones, and Game of Thrones were all filmed at Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. After lunch, we will travel to Dades Valley via Ouarzazate and the Roses Valley. We’ll see incredible rock formations (dubbed the “Monkey Fingers”) and fortified Kasbahs. Spend the night in a hotel.

Day 4: Dades valley to Sahara desert visiting Todra canyon.

After breakfast at your Dades Valley hotel, we will begin our journey today with a drive along the road to Todra Gorges, where you will stop for a walk along the canyons. After some free time to take in the vastness of the cliffs, we continue on our journey to Erfoud, famous for its dates market and fossil factories. Quick detour to the Erg Chebbi desert. From here, we’ll ride camels through the incredible color-changing sand dunes, with the sunset as a backdrop. We arrive at our Sahara desert camp before it gets dark.

After spending some time admiring the sand dunes and surrounding landscapes and taking beautiful photographs, you will dine at the camp.

Day 5: Travel from Sahara desert to Fes

On day 5 of your Morocco tour from Agadir, we depart from the magical Moroccan Sahara desert and travel to Fes. You pass through Erfoud, known for its Dates Souk and fossils, and enjoy a panoramic view of Ziz Valley with its palm groves along the river and Berber villages in the Middle Atlas Mountains. We’ll stop in Midelt for lunch before heading to Azrou’s famous cedar forest for some memorable photos with wild monkeys. You will also pass through Ifrane, Morocco’s Switzerland, before arriving in Fes to spend the night at a Riad in the Medina.

Day 6: Fes Medina exploration and transfer to the airport.

After breakfast at your Riad, you will begin exploring Fes imperial city, also known as the country’s spiritual capital and our oldest Fes imperial city, by browsing its lively Souks, tangle of photogenic alleyways, and historic monuments. First, the Royal Palace gate creates a welcoming, peaceful transition between the new and old Fes. Then came the Jewish headquarters and the first Mellah ever built in Morocco. Following that, we’ll begin visiting all of the cultural and historical sites, including the famous Al Qaraouine University. The Tanneries and the Attarine museum are the oldest in the region.

After lunch, you’ll visit Fez’s best area to stay (Fes el Bali), a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its alleyways and historic monuments such as Medersa Bou Inania and Bab Boujloud (the medina’s main gate). Fes el Bali is a shopping paradise for Moroccan slippers, leatherwork, metalwork, rainbow-glass lamps, and tiles, which are all displayed at stalls throughout the district. Depending on your departure time, we will either visit the new city for a drink or transfer to the airport in the afternoon.
